Yesterday I had the opportunity to have lunch with a stranger. The stranger’s name is Eugene. He had actually worked at SGM a couple years ago. He was homeless. He told us about all of the jobs he had had in the past. He also talked about the city a lot. He talked about crime and jail vs. prison. At the end, he told us that God had made the meeting happen (which I don’t doubt because of the fact that the park was closed and that’s where we would have gone if it wasn’t). He also said that he would remember us forever and he told us each individually that he loved us as he shook our hands.
